Stay Seaport - Copenhagen

October 7, 2017

Four airports, two busses and and three trains later, we had arrived at the beautiful Stay Seaport in Copenhagen. I'm not gonna lie, I gave myself a virtual unicorn high five when I opened the door to the heaven of an apartment that would be our home for our 5 days in the Denmark. Say it with me - interior staircase! Now I all I want from life is to move to Denmark, become a world renowned designer and possibly start believing in magic again.

The property sits right on the waterfront in the upcoming North Harbour neighbourhood and features beautifully designed (and squeaky clean) apartments ranging from studios to two, three and four bedroom spaces, some with private rooftop patios (I got you at roof patios, didn't I?). It's a short train ride away from the downtown area, but what you'll sacrifice in see-sighting proximity, you'll gain in views, space and functionality. I loved that our apartment came equipped with a kitchen and I was able to cook dinner (ahem I mean put some pre-bought casseroles in the oven) for our friends on Tudor's birthday. It felt so homey that it made me forget all about stress, the crazy cold I managed to catch at my brother-in-law's wedding and the fact that I was a vegetarian...which honestly we all need let go of once in a while...especially when we are in Europe.

One thing really worth mentioning about Stay Seaport is that the brilliant design doesn't sacrifice comfort. I loved spending rainy hours watching Netflix on the soft sofa while the ships went by our windows, but my absolute happy place was the bed, which I am sure was made by some kind of fairies since it put me to sleep as soon as we snuggled under the sheets after a long day exploring the city. We enjoyed adventuring through Copenhagen just as much as we did staying in, so a few too many bottles of whine and trays of lasagna were consumed way past my bedtime. But hey, you only live once, am I right?

If you ever visit make sure to burn some calories (God knows I needed to) around town on one of the bikes available at reception. Our favourite thing to do was to bike to the little mermaid and hop on the water bus for a scenic ride downtown. Just make sure you book them early in the day as they go like hot cakes (or whatever yummy en-vogue patisserie bakeries run out of at the moment).

Did I get your attention yet? Then take a tour of the apartment we stayed in by watching the little video we filmed. And if you fall in love with it just as much as we did, ask about room 1407 when you book! Don't forget to leave me your thoughts in the comment section. We love reading each and every one of them.

Have a brilliant day!

Dora
